Hey, I’m Rach Strange

Running Coach and 10K–Marathon Specialist

Hi, I’m Rachael, a running coach who’s in it for the long run, helping busy, everyday runners build confidence, consistency, and sustainable progress without letting training take over their lives. I wasn’t a “natural” runner growing up; in fact, school athletics put me off for years. I eventually came back to running to lose weight, but what kept me was the freedom, the headspace, and the feeling that, for the first time, I was doing something just for me. Like most new runners, I pushed hard everywhere and made quick gains… but I had no idea why it worked.

My coaching

Everything changed when I was coached for the 2024 London Marathon. Having structure (and not having to overthink every session) was the game-changer I didn’t know I needed. The results came quickly—Bournemouth Half in 1:37 and my first marathon in 3:25, raising over £2,000 for charity—but what stuck with me was understanding why the right training works. That curiosity, plus my people-first nature, is what led me into coaching.

Today, I help new and returning runners, especially busy women, train properly for 10K to marathon in a way that feels supportive, sustainable, and human. I’m a natural listener and problem-solver, and I want every athlete I work with to feel seen, understood, and genuinely cared for. Living with ME has also given me deep empathy for energy management, pacing life stressors, and defining success by more than just pace or race times.

My coaching philosophy is simple: sustainable progress beats smash-and-crash plans every time. We prioritize consistency, smart structure, strength you can do at home, fueling without fear, and a mindset you can rely on when things get hard. No back-to-back hard days, no guilt-based training, no chaos in race week, just clear explanations, accountability, and a plan that fits around real life, not the other way around.

If you want to feel confident, stay healthy, and run strong for years—not just for one race—I’d love to help you get there. We're building long-term runners here, not burnout stories… and you don’t have to do it alone.
